I didn't know much about baby monitors when I picked this one out, and I was taken in by its smallness and sleek look. I wish I'd looked around more.

This monitor recently died on us after only a year of use. During that year, we were constantly dealing with it cutting out on us or going out of range. It makes a horribly annoying crackling sound when it goes out of range or picks up interference, which woke us up in the middle of the night numerous times. It's very sensitive to interference with other electronics. The range is pretty small, the button configuration is difficult to use, and the volume level and clarity aren't very good.

After this monitor stopped working, we replaced it with the Sony Baby Call Nursery Monitor, which we've been quite pleased with. While it doesn't have as nice of a "look," it's a much better product.

This was a disappointing purchase. The power button on the transmitter unit broke shortly after the 3 month warranty ended. It also had poor reception, and the receiver would sometimes randomly lose reception even after it had been properly connected for several hours. This was very irritating when the "lost reception" alarm would start going off in the middle of the night for no apparent reason. We had to purchase a new monitor before baby even turned 4 months old. I'd recommend investing in a higher quality monitor.
